Several Years ago, I was starting to think about retirement and what I was going to do. Also, I found I was no longer working extra hours and had more time to go places, but - was reticent to go. I like to read books on art and fashion and liked watching Ted Talks. I found inspiration from Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic along with her talk on Ted Talks. She has many stories of artists and creative people. Keep it moving by Twyla Tharp is also motivating. I was looking at advertisements for workshops, but wanted one I could drive to and stay at. One book I was reading had a listing of several. I decided that if I could find a place to stay and an opening in a workshop I would sign up. Valley Ridge in Muscoda, Wisconsin had a a small house with 5 rooms and a workshop (all on the same property). I signed up and found friendly people, warm and helpful. I was very green, but It was life changing. I still have those friends.
